Our Local Market Supply

All indications point to a huge deficit in the supply of vegetables in Ghana.


Companies importing these vegetables are unable to meet the large local demand annually. Ghana, with a population of about 30 million, depends heavily on Burkina Faso to meet its local demand.


The objective in providing for the local market is striving to bridge the gap which currently exists between the demand and supply of vegetables for the local demand.

Statistics indicate that Ghana relies heavily on imports with over 2 million tons of these vegetables arriving from neighboring countries annually.


Covid 19 has taught every country a valuable lesson; the importance of readiness of local industries and preparedness of local economies to focus on boosting national production in agriculture and other major sectors.


Epidemics and pandemics are very likely to be with us for the foreseeable future and the stability of our food production vs demand will depend on how expeditiously we are able to allocate resources and put into action the much-needed infrastructure and technology towards smart, sustainable agriculture.
